Our Creed

We hold the following tenets to be true:

  • That the Revitalizing Ministry is open to any person who wishes to seek spiritual enlightenment, regardless of race, culture, or personal religious convictions.

  • That the Revitalizing Ministry believes that the way to God is a personal path that each person embarks on in his own way.

  • That the Revitalizing Ministry believes that free interchange of religious ideas or beliefs can bring about better understandings of oneself, one’s family, groups, mankind, plants, animals, and other life forms, as well as a better understanding of the world.

  • That the Revitalizing Ministry believes that understanding of the spiritual side of life, including spirits, souls, ghosts, and abstracts such as “the spirit of play” are necessary to the understanding of God as a Whole, of which all things play a part.

  • That the Revitalizing Ministry believes that people who are hungry, homeless, or otherwise pressured with burdens or problems are often not receptive to spiritual consciousness, and therefore the Ministry wishes to do what it can to bring relief to such problems.

  • That the Revitalizing Ministry believes that freedom to express religious opinion is basic to any spiritual growth. That freedom of speech, the right to speak and be heard, is essential to spiritual development. While we do not believe in mixing Church and State, we recognize that the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America is our guarantee that our religious work can continue uninterrupted, and pray that the First Amendment can long endure.

  • That the Revitalizing Ministry holds that people of different faiths can live together in harmony, provided they respect each other’s right to have their own point of view.

  • That the Revitalizing Ministry believes that if each person does what is right in accordance with his own conscience, and, provided only that it does not break the laws of the land, that doing what is right leads to the road to peace and harmony on this planet.

  • That the Revitalizing Ministry will be a Ministry in the commonly understood way, serving the community with those ceremonies normally considered part of the activities of a Church, such as Marriage Ceremonies or confessionals where we may give absolution, as well as gathering people together for Pastoral Guidance.

Furthermore, we of the Revitalizing Ministry believe that codes of right and wrong are essentially moral codes, written across the span of time by different groups and cultures, and were made to solve the social problems of the times. That the highest code would be an Ethical Code, not a moral one, although it could include all or part of any past or present moral code.

We suggest you listen well to the quiet sounds, the whisper of the trees, or the Angel who speaks to you in your dreams, because before you can truly understand God you first must hear what all life has to say.
